Sweet Sugar Like Honey Tea

"Sugar Sweet Like Honey Tea" is a commissioned poster promoting the client's music album. Based on her vision, I illustrated a 1950s Hollywood-inspired design, using a soft, monochromatic pink palette to capture the vintage feel and keep the piece cohesive. Vintage-style fonts finished the design.

APPROACH

The client came with a clear creative direction, so I refined her ideas, offering creative input on certain aspects while retaining most of her vision. From the pose and costume to the colours and typefaces, every element carried the vintage glamour of Hollywood. The costume drew inspiration from Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pink dress, a reference instantly readable as vintage Hollywood, adapted into a pink monochromatic palette. The typefaces follow the same design aesthetic of vintage while also creating a modern twist that complements the overall visual style.
